Johnson throws no-hitter against Randolph

Dave Jenson and Dixon Irwin both had run-scoring doubles in the first inning, and Aaron Johnson baffled Randolph for eight innings as Red Wing picked up an 11-0 victory on Sunday.

Johnson walked one batter, with two outs in the third, but the rest of the Railcats went down in order. Johnson struck out 10 in his shortened no-hitter, and the one base runner was stranded at first.

Ty Buck and Jimmy Bohmbach added sacrifice flies in the fifth inning for the Aces, and Aaron Stoneberg had a sixth-inning RBI single.

After Johnson doubled in the seventh, Alex Quiding hit a home run to left to spark another big inning for Red Wing. Buck capped it off with a three-run shot a few batters later.

Red Wing (8-6) hosts a pair of non-league games this week, with Kewaskum on Thursday and St. Francis on Friday.
